A new look at Saturn's rings

This article is about how scientists from NASA are recounting the rings of Saturn, and found out that Saturn's rings are really young. The way these scientists are figuring out how old the rings are is the same way you do with a tree, you count how many rings there are. One ring equals 1 year. When they counted Saturn's rings, they found out that it was only 100 million years old which is little compared to the solar system which is 4.6 billion years old. The people who worked at NASA also determined the age by looking at the characteristics of particles in the rings. Since the rings were shiny and they were reflecting that meant that the particles were young. They thought they were young because they didn't have enough time to become darkened and less reflective. Other scientists say they they over looked some parts of the rings but I think they just missed a couple of circles that were really close together.
